Christian Church in Wyandotte County | Addicted

As a Christian Church in Wyandotte County we are always busy finding some way to reach out to our community! Souls are what matter to us the most here.

I know you say you have so much to do.  You may have even said,

“My life does not revolve around the kingdom of God.”

I say yes it does!

The kingdom of God is about the lives of people.  Heaven’s treasures are souls.

Anyone who builds on that foundation may use a variety of materials—gold, silver, jewels, wood, hay, or straw. But on the judgment day, fire will reveal what kind of work each builder has done. The fire will show if a person’s work has any value. If the work survives, that builder will receive a reward.  But if the work is burned up, the builder will suffer great loss.  1Cor 3:12-15 NLT

This earth will not last forever.  It is all going to burn up.  The only thing that will last is the souls of men.

Today many people are addicted to food, social media, tv, everything but the kingdom of God.

I beseech you, brethren, (ye know the house of Stephanas, that it is the firstfruits of Achaia, and that they have addicted themselves to the ministry of the saints,)  1 Corinthians 16:15 (KJV)

These people addicted themselves to ministry of people.  And just how do we get this kind of burden?  As we love God He causes us to love people.  And this love is not just for the benefit of others, but this love, this addiction, brings it own reward.  Every good deed will follow us right into heaven.  Our good deeds may be overlooked by men, by the church, or by this world, but  they will never be overlooked by God.

If you want this addiction to win lost souls pray this prayer with me.

God put me in check.  How crazy can you make me?  Let there be no limits in me to see a soul won for Christ.  Do it in me Lord.  Give me your heart for people.  In Jesus’ name, amen.
