Young Church in KCK || The Blessed Place Pt. 3

< Back to Blog

Why do we consider ourself a Young Church in KCK?

This is why. Jesus is for every age, this is what we believe. We believe that it is important to be relevant to the next generation, without compromising the truth. There are a lot of confused people in this world and we want to equip the next generation with the truth of the word of God.

One truth is, most blessings come despite us.  The favor of God is not because we have earned it.  God will bless whomever He chooses.

But what exactly does it mean to be blessed?  You can be broken, busted, and disgusted and still know you are blessed because blessing is not measured by how much you own.

If we were to define the word, bless. Some may say it’s the prayer you pray before you eat.  Others may say it means to be happy when something wonderful happens to you. But I like this definition,

To invoke favor upon.

When you got saved the devil knew you were blessed.  You recieved the blood of Jesus, the Word of God, and the Holy Spirit.  You are blessed and more powerful than you kow.

And the fact of it is the devil knows he can’t curse you because you’re God’s child.

BUT

He can attempt to get you to move outside of your blessing.  The absence of blessing is the curse.

Those who live in the shelter of the Most High
will find rest in the shadow of the Almighty.
This I declare about the Lord:
He alone is my refuge, my place of safety;
he is my God, and I trust him.
For he will rescue you from every trap
and protect you from deadly disease.
He will cover you with his feathers.
He will shelter you with his wings.
His faithful promises are your armor and protection.

Do not be afraid of the terrors of the night,
nor the arrow that flies in the day Psalm 91:1-5

Stay in the shelter of the Most High.  Don’t let the devil do to you what he did to the prodigal son.  He influenced him to move outside of the place of his blessing.

If the truth be told we deserve hell.  But because you belong to God He chooses to bless you despite you.  So stay in the house.

People don’t do good outside of the house. They miss what God wants to say to them. They miss the worship and they miss the strength that comes through fellowship.

I don’t care what you’re going through.  Finacial troubles, a rocky marriage, mind battles, it doesn’t matter, don’t leave the house of God.  The devil will try to get you to stop praying, stop reading, stop witnessing, and yes, stop going to church.  But don’t let Him.

Hang on. Stay faithful.  Don’t quit.

And stay in the blessed place!
